When you choose the LED tubes for your applications, here following tips need to be paid attention to.
1, Packing and marking.
The following content need to show up clearly outside the package of tubes: rated tubes, scope of voltage, rated power, rated frequency, meanwhile the logo of manufacturer and relevant certificates need to be printed outside the package.
2, LED Tubes’ Appearance.
The cracks, loosing or any other damaging sign shouldn’t be found on the tubes. During the tubes installation and disassembly, the lamp holder should be tight and straight. The tubes plastic cover should adopt the flame retardant materials, hard to deform.
3, Working Status.
Under the normal status of working, the tubes temperature increase should be very low, if the heat dissipation is poor, the led chips will work under high temperature which will cause great light degradation, and short lifetime of luminaries. If fast flickering happens upon switching on and off, it shows there is quality problem existing.
4, Working sound.
Electromagnetic compatibility must be passed, which is EMC testing. If the lighting’s sound could be clearly heard during operation in silence environment, the driver may not be qualified.
5, Power and lighting efficiency.
The led tubes’ lighting efficiency is the lumen output per watt, the higher the value is, the more energy saving the tubes are. The suitable power LED luminaries should be chosen according to the application environment.
6, Color rendering index and color temperature.
LED tubes’ color rendering index reflects how the lamp source reflect the true color of an object. The perfect CRI is 100, the higher the CRI is, the more real the object color is reflected. Normally, the CRI of 80-100 is excellent index, and CRI of 50-79 is not so good, while the CRI less than 50 is very poor.
The color temperature which unit is K could be varied to 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 4500K, 5000K, 6500K, which could be chosen per the environment.
